Flat paint reflects minimal light. It serves well to hide bumpy or flawed walls. It tends to mark easily so most prefer to use in low-traffic areas only.

Eggshell maintains a subtle sheen with a semi matte finish. More durable than flat, eggshell may be cleaned.

Satin brings out a smooth and slightly glossy finish. Terrific for areas where traffic might be high, satin takes wiping fairly easily.

Semi-gloss can take a great deal of abuse. Since highly durable, great choice for bathrooms and children's bedrooms.

Gloss stands up to grease and water stains. Works well in kitchens, great rooms, and even doors. The singular drawback, may show every bump and flaw in your walls.
